Looks to be a pretty new facility. Is it a CO-OP or owned by a grain company ? Do they give you no charge price later on beans ?

It used to be UGG now VITERRA. Not sure how old was already there when we came in 96 but has been expanded a bit since and due to again next year. Theres an older wooden one still working 1/2 mile away in the middle of town too.
You can haul in and price later occasionally but generally we tend to put price targets for a set number of bushells and then haul once they trigger and contract quite a lot.

We get 24 hours to load a 500 tonne train. That is 10 wagons. Any less and cost is too high. Doesn't matter what day. But like you N14 not too excited on bean prices.

Yes bit of both.
We store everything till after christmas normally but it depends on price and how much we contract .occasionally we'll let some oats go off the field if storage ever gets tight. We would have enough storage for 1400 acres on an average year at a push i think. We don't normally grow wheat as you have to deal with the wheat board and i can't make it pay ever.
It's a funny old set up with wheat ,you're only allowed to deliver a percentage and only when told to by wheat board... Confused
And of course the specialty crops like sunflowers go direct to the states off the farm with super-B's

We've been hauling all weekend in a rush to fill this train hoping we'd get a few days to price them but this mornings price was up considerably from close on friday to $8.50 a bushell, Could've had $10 off the combine and thought that was bad at the time Evil or Very Mad
Ticket said we took 6666 bushells... Laughing
